It was a cracking Melbourne Spring day with blue skies and glorious sunshine at the Dingley Riders Club grounds in Patterson Lakes today.

Many thanks go to Jim Crane, DRC President, Brooke, Catherine, Laura and all the lovely members and visitors we met who made us feel welcome. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your official dressage and combined training day, we had a lot of fun!

GollyGosh Equine Encouragement Award No1

GollyGosh Equine congratulates Zoë Mongey of Merricks Saddle Club for winning The GollyGosh Equine Encouragement Award today.  Zoë was riding “Elodie” a 13yo Warmblood x Thoroughbred 15.2 hands, whom she has had for only 18 months. In that time Zoë has been teaching “Elodie” to jump. Today was her first dressage competition and she placed in the top 3 – well done. Jumping is Zoë’s passion and she aspires to reach level 2 in HRCAV.

GollyGosh Equine Encouragement Award No2

Alla Keogh was the second recipient of the GollyGosh Encouragement Award. Alla has only just returned to riding after a 20 year break and she competed in her first level 5 competition. Alla also helped on the day at the Gear Check and pretty much anywhere else that help was needed. Alla was riding “Sully” an 11yo Friesian gelding and scored fifth place in both her rides today. Alla was the first rider to represent her newly formed (July 2019) VEC Riding Club, in Upper Beaconsfield. Alla aspires to “ride straight lines” and “make better use of her corners”. Congratulations Alla from us at GollyGosh Equine.

“Thomas”

It was great to meet Charlotte Bishop of Victorian Dressage Stables, Pakenham South, who was competing on “Thomas” an off the track thoroughbred and she finished with a sixth and a win in her competitions today. “Thomas” was so lovely to massage, both Wendy and I were massaging him at the same time!

“Devilbend Samsung”

GollyGosh Equine’s Andrew Reay and Wendy Halma had the pleasure of meeting Peta Repinac of Gembrook Riding Club, her daughter Ashleigh and their horse “Devilbend Samsung”. “Devilbend” is a 9yo Australian Stock horse, who loved the benefits of a GollyGosh Equine massage by Wendy. Everyone will be a winner soon, because they bought two GollyGosh Equine Deluxe Massage Balls, one for “Devilbend” and the other for Peta’s husband who has a sore back! Happy massaging to everyone in the household. Animals and Humans alike.

GollyGosh has been in the making for over 40 years. It began in 1975 when our passion for horses was discovered. That was the beginning of our love affair for the equine world. We’ve dressaged, jumped, shown and trail ridden ever since.
